Steven is a successful heart surgeon and married to the ophthalmologist Anna. They live with their two children Bob and Kim in a beautiful house in an idyllic suburb - a perfect family. But things start to simmer beneath the flawless surface when 16-year-old orphan Martin turns up. The teenager from a humble background befriends Steven and tries to set him up with his mother. When his plan fails, he puts a curse on Steven´s family.
